FABRIC HAUL
I've definitely become a fabric junky....it's a good thing i'm not working right now cause i can imagine the mounds of fabric that i would have by now (sigh i really do love fabric!). So here are the fabrics i managed to snag up a nice dark pink chiffon ($2), a black floral chiffon ($3) and and and african print ($12). I plan to make some maxi skirts for the summer and hopefully i will get to it soon.

Saral Transfer Paper
This has to be by far the best transfer paper ever...I bought the sample pack and i must say i absolutely love it. My markings come clear even on dark printed material. I definitely have to invest in the individual rolls. Has anyone tried this type of transfer paper before and are there any other good ones that one can suggest.

Butterick 5486
So I just finished up butterick B5486 and i absolutely love it minus the terrible sewing lol...one day i shall have super straight stitched lines and my zippers will be installed perfectly (ahh wishful thinking :/). But moving right along this was super easy finished it up in a days time and i think i shall be wearing this to church on friday night (hopefully it wont fall apart on me lol. This is definitely a pattern you should add to your stash.

:) What I've Been Up To
Hey guys hope all is well! Haven't been on here in quite a while but hey life happens. I haven't been up to much sewing but I'm starting to get back into the groove. this morning i finished up my pajamas McCall's M6250. My fabric for the top wasn't enough so i had to improvise and make a tank using my mission maxi pattern. The pattern was fairly easy and got through it in a matter of a few hours. My bombshell dress is still under construction...finally put the boning in so I'll finish up the bodice soon hopefully... so i can move on to the sarong (keeping my fingers crossed). I also did another mission maxi this time the dress with the godet back. I don't really like the peachy colour so i'll be dying it chocolate. So that is all i've been up to until happy sewing :)!

Craftsy sew a bomb shell dress
So finally i get a break from work. Now i can get back to my love hate relationship with sewing :) . My next project I'm going to tackle is a bomb shell dress. I signed up for Gretchen Hirsch's class on craftsy.com Sew retro perfect bomb shell dress... and hopefully all will go well with this sew along class. By Wednesday i hope to begin the construction of the bodice. I lent my sewing machine out so hopefully my darling heart and i will be reunited soon. I miss :( seeing her around!
Here's the fabric i chose. I'm not one for patterns on my fabric especially floral but i thought i'd live on the edge plus it was cheap! So i have no worries if i botch it up lol.

what to sew next?
My aunt loved the mission maxi dress that i sewed for her, now she wants me to sew her another dress 0_o (i think these ppl forget i'm just a beginner sewer not some go to seamstress lol). So i'm thinking of doing Mccall's M4769 or this burda maxi dress. Since she already has the maxi i guess i'll do the mccall's dress and i'll be doing the burda maxi dress for me. I guess this summer i'm going to have a ton of maxi dresses lol. Maxi dresses are so classic you can dress them up, dress them down... take them from the beach straight to dinner! And i also want to do that jacket from the Cynthia Rowley pattern that i attempted and went terribly wrong with (the dress that is). The pattern was pretty straight forward but i don't know where i went wrong but i will be trying it out again, don't know when but i will.
